Results can be found here on MyAutoEvents.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made today one of the smoothest running autocrosses I have ever been to.  Also, congrats to the students who attended the school on Saturday, everyone did very well!

Great job, Justin. Everything did run very smoothly. The enthusiasm of the students from the novice school was great to watch.

Matt should be listed as a novice. He is under GS instead.

Thanks, David

I want to thank everybody for such an awesome weekend! Kudos to everybody who generously volunteered their time for the school and for making my first race an event that still has me grinning from ear to ear! Everybody was so patient (thanks Jeff!) and amazingly talented. I surpassed every goal I set for myself and couldn't have done it without all of you. A special thanks to Scott H.and Scott W. for pimpin my rental ride. Cool It's a good thing you're all such a welcoming group because I'm sticking around! See you the 25th.

I'd like to thank everyone involved with the school - organizers, instructors, and students - for a truely enjoyable (although long) weekend.  I won the class in a tough battle with Hoffman and won PAX, but somehow the more satifying result was that my students not only improved tremendously, but even finished 3rd, 4th, and 6th.  Kudos to Catherine D. for the "most improved" award (in fun runs she was only 1.5 sec off of Scott H's time in the rental automatic Focus) and Steven Summerville for really stepping up for a strong 3rd place Novice finish!  That was the most fun I've had at any autocross.  It was smoothly run - with 5 runs each AND fun runs!  Thanks again to everyone.

Catherine...you more than shocked me. Good driving in your debut!! Now to get something you can race every event!! Wink

Great job both of you! I remember your first event and have seen how much you've improved too Scott. Great run to get top PAX!

What an awesome day!  Thanks to the ODs for such a smooth day.  It was a great course, too -- simple, yet difficult.  Easy for the novices to get a clean run, but difficult on the more experienced drivers to place a good time.  The rain even held off all day.

There's something very attractive about being home by 3 PM  Cheesy

See you all in May.

Bob Summers should have been in B/SP,(not A/S), and I think should have been paxed with the other novices.

Nicely run event.  We had a blast coming down again.  Glad the school on Saturday was a big success and many returned on Sunday.  That's the best way to learn autoX.  That and to bum passenger rides with top drivers at every event, walk with them at the event, and have them ride along with you and critique.  Your skill level will advance exponentially!!  Feel free to ride along or chat.

We really enjoyed the flow of the course.  It was awesome for such short straightaways.  It made it interesting for small and big cars alike, except for Marc's Lotus which showed us all up with a blazing time.  The tight layout also let us get some light throttle oversteer drift and engine braking drift in.

We were hoping for rain though, a great equalizer for our Camaro since we both love to drift and drive just as fast in the wet.  One of my favorite courses ever was a wet VMSC event a couple years ago on this lot.  I ran almost 2/3 of the course wide open throttle at the top of 2nd gear (about 70MPH wheel speed), and the course was almost as tight as this event.  Oh well, maybe next time.

P.S. Maybe next time we will bring the 3rd Gen drift car for an exhibition (more fun on the VMP lot).  If not, you can see Zach at about any East Coast drift event this year in it.  Come root on about the only American drift car, and only Chevy (besides my black daily driver backup car) on the East Coast!!!  Grin
