Evolution phase 1 & challenge schools 10/28 @ VMP

NASA Mid-Atlantic will be hosting Evolution Performance Driving Schools (phases 1 & challenge school) on Sunday October 28th at Virginia Motorsports Park near Petersburg, VA.  The lead instructors will be Mike "Junior" Johnson and Tim Aro.  Details & pre-registration are here:

According to Junior there is "plenty of room to do both" and he's done the same format there before.

Who are Mike Johnson and Tim Aro?  I seem to remember the names, but apparently they don't run with VMSC any more.  Didn't they live in Richmond at one time?

Hahahaha yes Gene they both still live in Richmond, and I'm sure they still love running with VMSC whenever their very busy schedules allow.

Tim use to instruct over at G-force kart.  If i remember correctly .. he use to be one of those National champions in Autox at one time.  Also was one of the small 98lbs when soaking wet looking kind of guy that would tick me off over at the Karts. Stating wieght doesn't matter and here i was coming in at 230lbs at the time.  Besides that .. he was real nice and helpful.

Challenge school & phase 2 have both been dropped.

Phase 1 is full at 24 students and 3 on the waiting list.  If we get 3 more on the waiting list, we'll run two phase 1's simultaneously.
