vmsc and exhaust cutouts

I was wonder what the VMSC's stance is on exhaust cutouts. An exhaust cut out is a "y" pipe along the exhaust tubing before mufflers but after the cat that has an opening that can be open or closed via electric motor of by screws.

this of course would make any car much louder then stock, but i don't think it'll be beyond what some of the competitors with after market exhausts are currently producing in terms of volume. I currently run in FSP so it wouldn't change my class.

Given where we compete i could see loud cars being a problem, so thats why I'm asking before i install one.

I don't see how it would be an issue, especially compared to some of the other cars out there.  In the case that you needed to keep the car quiet, you could always just keep the cutout closed.  Supposedly, turbo cars are quieter by nature as well, at least that is what I have heard.

You may just need to stay out of the 1st or second heats.. some places the RRC have a sound ordence where and open exhaust car should not beable to run until after 12 noon (not positive on the time could be 11 am)

I'm sure RRC has noise ordinances to follow; however, I've heard the Cup cars on the track before noon before.  Then again, I know the noise cutoff is at 10pm, and the NASCAR races have gone WAY past that before.  I'm assuming they got some kind of exception...

i usually run in heat 3 or 4 depending on what the last heat of the day is. so that doesn't change things. Thanks for the replys
