Any shady Inspection stations in Southside?

So I took my CRX to Merchant Tire to get it inspected and they failed it because it doesn't have a catalytic converter. Then the service writer tried to sell me a bunch of crap that I don't need.
It has a couple exhaust leaks that I will fix this week or weekend, but the rest of the car is fine. Does anyone know an inspection station that will just look over the car really quickly and not hassle me about the lack of emissions equipment? Anywhere within 10 miles of any part of 288 is within reason for me to drive. Prefereable somewhere import friendly, the car is kind of ricey.
Thanks,
Justin

If it is supposed to have a cat, (but doesn't), I doubt you'll find anyone to pass it. It's too obvious.

If it's the main cat they're likely to notice (unless it's an inspector that doesn't check at least the minimum requirements) I'm also thinking that if someone knew of such a place, they probably wouldn't post it on the internet. Folks that might not look for something like that are also likely to not remove a wheel to look at pads, etc.

Just pick up a $20 cat from ebay and install that. Cheap, easy and "legal"
Realize though, that it's not really Stock Class legal. To stay in Stock class you have to get the Honda cat and it's expen$ive.
Have you considered looking in any junkyards?

what about a temporary junkyard solution that you swap out after you pass the inspection?

Yeah, I'll try junkyards, and I have a few friends who may have some lying around, but for the time being I would like to get it past inspection. I may just have to wait.

It is illegal in the Commonwealth of Virginia for a business to sell a used Catalyic Converter. In other words, no junkyard solution (at least not at the pick-n-pulls - they cut them out) I know for a fact that places like Russell's in Dinwidde do not go to such measures - but they still shouldn't/wouldn't sell them.
I'd recommend picking up a $40 catco high flow from summit and having a local muffler shop weld it in for a few bucks.
