Thanks for the flowers, but on behalf of Dana Cole and myself, we couldn't pull this off with everyone's help. The weather could have definately been more cooperative. I know I'll miss a few but special thanks to Charlie, Genie, Jeff, Audi, Keith, Donna, Tech, Timing and Scoring. Oh, and who was that Stater when it was raining. Must have been Michael Barnes. Great jobs guys!
How about that Rick Carson of TC Racing. Nice job Rick!

Bill, Dana great event. I'm glad I didn't believe the weather report that said "rain late".

Great course Dana and Bill, now can you setup that exact same course on a dry day next season, I'd love to try it sans precipitation. People were doing a great job of throttle control considering how very slick it was!

Could someone please delete 1st place in ES. I was in the car and had seen the course at speed. 1st should go to Ben Lawes. Very sorry for this, it wont happen again.

- Steven Thank you for stepping up and letting us know about this. Lots of people would have let it 'slide' since it didn't get caught by the event staff. Since I thought I was being smart leaving the laptop at Audie and Jeff's house I will have to coordinate with them to get the results updated and posted.

Fun course yesterday. Thanks Bill and Dana, you guys did a great job. Like Brian said, it was fun modulating the throttle on the two sweepers. Thanks for the compliment Bill. We make a pretty good team, for two old folks.

Will somebody please check and make sure that Amy (car 83) was really off course on the 2nd and third run. I was in the car with her and we knew that she blew the first run but thought we were on course for the second and third run. Her scores should be fun runs so it will not make any difference to the rankings since she rode with me in the first heat but would like to get it corrected if she was on course.
We had a great time and really enjoyed the course. Great job to the ODs and all who makes these things happen.
Again thank you

Did anyone happen to find a pair of hiking boots over by the equestrian center? I believe i managed to leave them behind after clearing out the car. Guess l'll head down there at lunchtime to see if they are still sitting there or hopefully RRC has a lost and found.
::later::
no such luck

Again thank you No she wasn't off course but since she had you in the car they became fun runs. If we mark her DSQ for those runs none of her times would show so we marked them OC. We could change her class to FUN which has a pax index of 5.0 to help keep the pax ranking cleaner. There is no easy way to deal with someone whose runs are all fun runs.

Just curious...
80 competitors and only 3 runs each. That's not the norm for a VMSC event.
How many runs at VMP on Sunday?

How many runs at VMP on Sunday? Ray, Rain started just as the first heat was getting ready to grid. The course was wet and slick from construction in the area. After the first runs, it was decided that there was not enough time for four (or more) runs and we cut back to three. There should be four runs on Sunday, but the end of Daylight Saving Time and the length of the course may cause that to be changed. It will be up to the ODs. Gene Cooley

The decision to call for 3 instead of 4 was Dana's and mine. The weather report was a wall of rain from Richmond to Harrisonburg with the direction moving due East. Four runs were planned, but after the weather report, we called for three runs. Obviously, we were wrong and it's my bust.
On the flip side, we did have almost 2 laps per run which we have never had. All considered, I think most of us enjoyed the day.

After checking back with RRC and discovering that other stuff from my box is also, looks like I have been officially ripped off. Items stolen: 12 pc set of Craftsman metric box wrenchs -$20, Mastergrip slip wrench - $5, and a set of Valens hiking boots - $175:cry: So I guess I'll have to bring eveything in a lockable box I can chain to something
