RRC Car Show

The National Street Rod Association is having it's second "Richmond Nationals" this weekend. Last year there were over 1600 vehicles in the show. Open to anything built prior to 1976, there's a little something for everyone.

I was in NY over the weekend. I did stop off at a racecar shop and checked out a rather clean Austin-Healey. Does that count?

I drove the V-Dub there and they said it was for Domestic's only......

It was for anything 30+ years old. I saw a Karman Ghia, a 1964 Mercedes, a Ferrari Daytona, among others. And all those Anglias, Prefects, and Hillman's that were turned into rods were imports too. So was the Cobra. The biggest gripe I have with the whole affair is having to register at the Sheriton at Broad and I-64, when the event is at RRC. But it's still good entertainment.

I made it to the car show on Sunday and really enjoyed it - lots of nice cars (and a few not). I did think it was poor planning to have everyone drive through the dust parking lot to attend a car show - sure glad I washed the car berfore I went (NOT). I was amazed at the vendors and the range components that you could buy. Building a hot rod is somewhere on my list but not on page one I guess.

Thanks for the heads up on the show - didn't see it mentioned anywhere else.

A few large signs pointing people in the proper direction would have been helpful too. Too bad you missed Saturday, there were half again as many cars as Sunday.
