I just registered here, so I thought I would make myself known.  My name is Justin, I was at the August club meeting, so I have met a few people already.

Who I am:
I just graduated from Rensselaer, outside Albany, NY a couple of months ago and moved to the Richmond area.  I have been into cars since before I can remember, but I just started autocrossing my Freshman year of college (4 years ago).  While at RPI, I helped setup at almost all of the autocrosses and I ran the Student Auto Shop for a couple of years.

Long-winded vehicular history:
I started autocrossing in my 1990 Mustang LX 5.0 5 speed after drag racing got boring.  I had some motor work and a full suspension in it and I did alright in the few events that I had it while learning to autocross.  After I wrecked it (just like every teenage Mustang owner) I decided I needed a more practical car while in college, so I ended up owning two Crown Victoria police cars, a 1995 from Iowa and a 2000 from the CHP.  I autocrossed the 95 a couple of times before I got rid of it and bought the 2000, which I autocrossed for two years.  After gas got rediculously expensive I bought a 1999 Saturn SL2 and autocrossed it twice before spinning a bearing and trading it in for my 2006 Civic...which I have vowed not to autocross.

Long story short, I will be in the market for another car to race after I get settled in and save up some money, but am extrememly interested in helping the club in any way possible and hanging out with people who enjoy their cars.  I look forward to meeting you guys at upcoming events, and if you need help with anything let me know!

2000 Honda Insight - Daily Driver (in the process of engine swapping now)
1995 Honda Civic CX - Street Mod/HPDE beater
1991 Mazda Miata (plus parts cars) - LeMons racecar
250whp, 1300lb Birkin S3 (track day car in the works)

Welcome! Your Civic should be a great autocrosser....maybe you should reconsider! Come to an event and get to know some folks. If you do buy another car to autocross, 4th gen Camaro's are coming down in price, 5.0 liter Mustangs are cheap, and F/Stock is a fun place to play.
