I have a friend looking to " re barrel" (not sure if that's the correct term) his wheels for wider tires. Anyone know of a shop that widens 3 piece wheels locally or not?

A previous co-worker split off and started a franchise I believe called "Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists" In Richmond, not sure if they do widening or not I have heard of "weldcraftwheels" in Michigan that do it.

Why wouldn't he try to get the original wheel manufacturer to make an inner barrel ? Do they want too much ? I know CCW wanted to much to justify doing it for me.

If you can leave two black stripes from the exit of one corner to the braking zone of the next, you have enough horsepower. Mark Donohue
