Autocross Point series

I was looking around the website and forum and couldn't find any info on the point series for Autocross. I was wondering how point were broken down and if you take all events towards totals or just the best of? I ask because, I run SMF and wanted to know if there is a separate points breakdown for that class. I already know that I'm going to miss a couple events, so wasn't sure if you add up the points for all races, or just your top 5 or something like that. How deep do points go in standing?
Also, I raced yesterday, but not as a member, if i choose to become a member, can I get my points for that race added to the championship series?

If you join this year, your points from this race will count.  Joining is easy and gets you your permanent number, plus the $5 discount each event.  Here's the link
