Nice job dodging that one, looks like the pro photographer got a few shots of the action to from the paddoc http://www.catesracing.com/flp/nasa/2015events/2015_05_vir/nsgm/index.html

I was there and did a hyperdrive session, no pics of if though.

Wow, that was crazy. The driver was giving you a point by on the right and he went right where his hand pointed to!

Has VIR relaxed the roll bar requirements for Boxsters, or was this just hyperfest?  I thought they required a straight roll bar extension for 986 series, top closed, and 2" clearance to the broomstick.

I'm still worried about wrecking and this is just... WOW.  How did he manage to spin on the straight, what happened?

I almost did the opposite once, if you think about it when you point your left hand over the top of the
car it's natural for your right hand to go the opposite direction, i.e. steer you off the left side of the track.
Closest I've ever come to going off!

He doesn't know.   I think he just tried to point and pulled the wheel, or maybe he overreacted getting close to the grass.  Who knows, thankfully I was in a Boxster and not in a faster car that would have gained on him more!
