That was a awesome coarse and a great turn out for the 1st event of the year. Here is my fastest but took out all the cones at the finish, should of took gunny's advice better from the drivers meeting not to hit cones after the finish line. Haha still had a blast cant wait till vmp. See y'all then

Thanks to Gunny for putting together a great course and congrats to James Churchill on FTD.

Here's the quickest run I could put together in the Fiat, 34.6xx. Hope we get some warm weather at VMP on the 19th.

Yesterday was my first Autox in about 6 years and I had a blast.  I was in the #73 Black E90 BMW 330i in FS and managed a best run of 39.315, good for 3rd in class.  It was a lot of fun meeting people at the event, and I wanted to thank VMSC putting it on.

Thanks Bernard like anything in life I had to work for it.  I also dedicate this 1st ever "FTD" to my late wife Natalie "Gnat" Churchill because I truly felt her with me yesterday out on course................

I really enjoyed the awesome turnout yesterday! I thought we were starting off the year fighting gremlins in my son's kart again, but all ended up ok, lol. We do have a couple little tweaks to make...I think he'll have a rocketship this year Smiley

Here is one of my runs, not sure the time on this one, 36.3s I think.
Nice course and great event. And Paul I have audio(left the camera on for 10 min.) of you being smug about your 36s run, so funny. That's the main reason I love to autox with VMSC great guys and a lot of trash talk!

It is also amazing to watch Gunny and You actually be able to stop BEFORE that guy handing the time slips out. I couldn't stop 40 feet past him...

My last three laps were all within a few hundredths - this one looked the smoothest.

I'm not sure why the track map is clipped, will have to look into that.
(Anyone else out there use DashWare for overlays?)

EDIT: Also not sure why the video quality goes downhill partway through - doesn't
look like that in the original!  Sad   Could YouTube have done something to it?

Beth - the video quality looked good and consistent when I just watched it. Must have been a youtube thing when you were watching.

OK that's just weird.  If I go to the video from the shortcut I left on my desktop, the video is
really poor quality.  If I go from the link I posted here, it looks fine.  But they are the same URL!

Here is my fastest run from the event (41.172) in the Focus ST:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAP3NiMVEGg

I was also recording the car data on my cell phone but only the 3rd run (43.128) came close to being synchronized:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2rQZnIR5bs

I had an absolute blast, thank you so much for the hospitality!  Gunny, really appreciate you giving a lot of undeserved confidence to a newbie.  I'm looking forward to the next event at VMP.

I did have a passenger, although I confess sometimes I talk when I am alone too.   Wink

Still using my Contour ROAM camera.  Love how simple it is to use.
