The place is really bumpy and dusty, as Chris told me, they put me on first heat because first heat is for slow drivers to clean up the course for the real fast drivers.

That parking lot is the only place I have ever actually been frightened
during an autocross ridealong.  Tongue

Looks like a long and interesting course!  Well marked, too.

"The place is really bumpy and dusty"

That's true

"Chris told me, they put me on first heat because first heat is for slow drivers to clean up the course for the real fast drivers."

I'd like to know who told Chris that, or maybe he was just kidding. Truth is at least 80% of the course on Sunday was reused from the test and tune on Saturday so it was as clean as gets at Verona.

Maybe that was at a PCA event.  Thanks for noticing the marking. That is always a design goal for me.

Chris was kidding, we do a lot of trash talk. The emphasis was more on slow driver than clean the course. I am planning to be back on the 12th, good competition out there.

Everybody knows Verona gets slower as the day progresses. First heat had the benifit of driving on a nicely swept course. Bernard, Gene and I had to drive on the marbles.....
