dyno day reflections...

First of all, Justin has no excuse for not attending. His Insight has two power plants. One of them should have been working. Second, what the hell kind of engine is in that Volkswagen CC? Third, you CAN fit a Volvo DOHC head and turbo on a 2.3 liter Ford, (and make 240+hp!), in case you didn't know. Fourth, a 180,000 mile Trans Am with some bolt-on mods can make 353 hp. Fifth, a 1971 Opel Kadette CAN spin the roller, and look cool doing it. Sixth, my 10,500 mile, (stock right down to the air filter), Z-28 keeps making HP. It's up to 302/319 now. Seventh, a Scion FRS is an interesting autocross consideration. Eighth, our dyno operator, (referred to as a "Dynocologist" on a site I frequent), has the patience of Job. And finally, thanks to David for organizing the whole affair. These are my reflections/observations. Yours may be different!

All I can say:
I'm glad you did not have any comments on Claudia's Carrera.
Cheers

All my reflections were respectful. Besides, anyone who will pay good money to have one of their most expensive possessions strapped to a steel roller, and run at WOT until it quits building horsepower, is nuts anyway. I didn't realize that was Claudia's Carrera. Did she know where you were taking her car? Next year I'll bring Carol's Hyundai.

It was a fun day. Thanks to everyone everyone who came. It is always an interesting mix of cars and to see the very different cars that people are attracted to.
