Plans are coming together for the autocross on November 2 @ VMP. One thing to remember is that is also the weekend that we return to Standard Time. Don't forget to set your clocks back one hour on Saturday night.

Looking forward to seeing everyone next Sunday

It should be a fun, open course. Ray plans to incorporate a couple of interesting elements from this year's Nationals courses.

I have not attended one of these events before.

Is there a registration limit?  How early should I show up to get a guaranteed spot?

You should not have a problem on Sunday, but you can also preregister to eliminate any concern. First car is off at noon but registrationa dn tech close around 10. I would be there ready to have my car teched by 9 to leave yourself plenty of time to work the course. The biggest favor you can do yourself is to walk the course 4-6 times, including the novice walk. Don't hesitate to ask a more experienced autocrosser to walk with you. You are welcome to walk with me. I drive the black JCW MINI.

Register early by clicking the second to last tab at the top of the website. You should show up as early as you can so you can get your numbers on the car and walk the course. The more you walk the course the better you will do when it comes time to run.

FOUND at VMP after 11/02 autocross:  1 Porsche part

Part# 996.551.101.00 EAR

Plastic trim piece, fits 986/996 driver side footwell near fuse panel.
'EAR' means graphite grey color (looks black to me, but that would be a different code)

See photo here (scroll down to yellow highlight)

It's the plastic piece at the upper left of that photo, i.e. ignore the carpeting.
