As the title states, is the Oct 19th TSCC Autocross a Points autocross for VMSC?  I apologize if this has already been covered.

Thanks,

My vote would be no. Back to back weekends and being a ways away is a 1-2 punch.

Hmm.  I was kinda hoping it *was* a points event, since I'm doing that one instead of the 12th.

But, whatever.

We have done it both ways in the past. We should discuss at the board meeting. It does encourage attendance from VMSC members.

Yea Stu I'm with ya on the no vote.
I'm probably going to make the event. With that being said I feel it would be unfair to have it count as a points event for our championship for numerous reasons.
Anyhow the challenge event is really fun! Those Tidewater folks really bring out the big guns for this event and as in most events at acu4 its really fun.

It is a great event, I went last year. It doesn't get any better than that location

I believe that visitors/family can register at no cost as "spectators" on the registration page.

BTW if anyone would like to make a weekend of this, check out the Air & Auto show on Saturday Oct 18 at the Military Aviation Museum (just up the road from TSCC's Pungo venue).

https://www.motorsportreg.com/events/air-auto-classic-5-military-aviation-museum-pca-first-settlers-851533

11am to 4pm, all makes & models welcome, no pre-reg necessary (unless you want to enter the car show).
$15 per car admission at the gate, includes admission to the museum.

This is one of First Settlers region PCA's annual charity events; proceeds go to Food Bank, SPCA, and the Boys' Home of Virginia.  Last year it raised $8000.

The Board voted Thursday to make this a points event.

I'm not sure how many members we will have there and how easy it will be to calculate points.

As a reminder, registration for the TSCC-VMSC Challenge autocross closes Wednesday night, as we need to submit the access list over a week out.  When you register, please enter your driver's license number; we use the registration list for the event access list.  if you're not sure if you'll be able to make it, at least register as a spectator in MSR- that'll get you on the access list for the event.

Yea thats to bad.
Points events should be determined at the start of the season not 2 races from the end of the season and 3 days before registration closes for the challenge event.

I'm traveling the week of this event.

If someone sends me the VMSC logo I can get magnets made up in-case anyone wants to represent VMSC at the event.  I might be able to turn it around for this Sunday.

I can give you the logo I used for the Zazzle store, but I can't attach it here since
there's a 300kb limit on the forums.  I'll try emailing it to you.

Could you email me that logo? I'd like to get some decals made for the karts.

I just ordered 10 magnets and will pick them up tomorrow.  If you want one let me know, they charged me $4 so you can give me $4 or 2 hotdogs.  If you want stickers or anything let me know and I'll have them made.
