I hope the course was good! I had some help so if you liked the course thank Marc and Ricardo. If you didn't like I'll take the blame.

Thanks Chris.

Awesome battle between Marc and Bobby. Let's see what happens next weekend where there is another SS Porsche at ACU-4.

The trailer is at my place now. I picked it up today. When I got there it started to rain like crazy, and it stopped when I left... LOL.

Cheers

Thanks very much, Engelbert.  Good thing you have a decent tow vehicle, nein?    Smiley

Some notes on the results, I'm not sure of these, could someone review them?

The Opel Manta in F/P (#333) should be in E/M.  It can't run F/P due to the engine swap.  It can't run X/P because of firewall mods to install the engine.  It's closest to being  Street Mod, but again the firewall mods keep it out.  I think that he knows this, it just didn't get corrected yesterday.

The 2006 Pontiac GTO (#201) and the 1969 Pontiac GTO (#19) are shown in 4th and 5th in class.  I think that they should be shown as 1st and 2nd in class.

Thanks,
Gene Cooley

the 1969 GTO may be the only car that has ran in CAM class that is eligible this year the 2006 GTO was built in Australia and like the Merkur is not eligible

Actually, the driver of the older GTO told us in tech that he would be driving the newer GTO to give its owner a ride. We told him that would be fine as long as they only counted as fun runs. I do not know who actually drove the newer GTO.

That sounds reasonable.  I wonder if we should have some organized way of marking certain
runs as fun runs, so we don't get confused later if we forget what we decided at the event.

Not suggesting YOU would forget of course!   But I know I might.  Smiley

David, I remember the conversation about the 2 GTOs.  I didn't know at the time who was driving which car but the '69 ran in the first heat? so at least its' times should be good for CAM class.

Chris, good catch on the 2006 as I didn't even think about that.

It's 2:45 AM on Thursday morning and even though I think that I made my point I have to say that this whole thing is making my head hurt...

You run the car you registered to run. PERIOD. There are no "taking someone for a ride in their car" provisions. During your heat, you run your car. IF there is a competitor struggling with the course, you may ride with them, or possibly drive their car at the discretion of the OD.

The 2006 GTO was fun runs, the same guy that ran the 1969 GTO drove it for Bill who comes out often and lets his neighbor drive his cars. No big deal he donated an extra 25$ to the club and worked his assignment. I just haven't revised the results yet.

When I get back around the the results I will refer back to this thread and correct what is brought up.
