Can someone explain to me how a Nissan Maxima is in SMF class? Especially since they have a V6.

Had a great time today, it felt great to knock the rust off and run through some cones. Looking forward to the event in May!

Looking forward to the next event.

Not really sure how to answer your question. here is what the 2014 scca rule book says.

Appendix A - Street Modified
Street Modified Class Front Wheel Drive (SMF)
Eligible Vehicles:
All FWD vehicles.
Minimum Weight Calculations (without driver):
1750 lbs + 125 lbs per liter
Supercharged or Turbocharged SMF engines: Add 1.0L to the actual
displacement.
Regardless of the weight formulas above, no car will be required to
weigh more than 3100 lbs.
(Cars running in SMF using tires with a nominal width of 275 or less
will NOT receive the weight adjustment as stated in the SM class.)

Maxima class issue my be my fault, it's been a while since my last autocross and I wasn't aware of any class changes. I was SM the last time I ran and assumed SM FWD would apply.
I'll go over classification and reclass myself for next event if nessicary.

Had a great time today, see you all next event.

Your car is eligible for SMF and is hardly misclassified. You can run in either SMF or SM, but the PAX is friendlier in SMF.

I had a blast out there yesterday. First time autocrossing a RWD car was definitely an experience in that weather.

Sorry to have been a no-show, although it *snowed* here in Northern VA, so the trip home on RS3s would have been....exciting.

I've got the 5/11 @ VMP event on my calendar.

Just to clear up any confusion - our next autocross is Sunday April 13!    Grin
Registration is open now.

And our annual novice school is the previous, i.e. April 12th.  Enrollment is limited so that every
student gets plenty of seat time - if you or anyone you know is interested, sign up soon!

BTW I put a link directly to these results on our home page, just go to www.vmsc.org and
scroll down to the Season Schedule on the right.  I'll try to keep the links updated after each event.

Is there anyway to change the result's header to the correct date other than 2013?  I really need this to send to Mazda USA for current results submission for 2014.  Discounted oem/performance parts for a 25+ year old car is such a plus.  Thank you.

Good catch!   I hadn't even noticed.  (What do you have to prove in order to get your discount?)

I did notice that the "From 1st" column seems to be upside down in ASP, but only in that class.  That's weird.

I have to submit 2 race results every year to keep the "free" membership current.  I like to knock it out early in the season because any later I suffer from "CRS" and then there goes the good life.

Hey Ron, I am not the timing and scoring of the event, I do believe that Chris was T&M, he is the club president and you can send him a message through the board of members contacts.

Don't know what I was thinking. You can run in SMF or SM. Maybe the rain, sleet and snow froze my brain sunday.....
