I have a wheel that may need to be straightened. Has anyone had this done and if so, who did the repair? I don't want to ship, I'm looking for someone local.

Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists
(804) 512-5795

This a local company and the franchise is national. They have a special trailer that has a paint booth in it. I have used them several times to fix curb rash. They came to my office, took the tire off of my car, repaired the rim, matched the paint, put on clear coat and put the tire back on my car. All of the dealers use them. I highly recommend them.

Was it AWRS? I saw them on line and if the wheels I bought aren't true, I'll be calling them. Is it expensive?

It depends on how much damage. Last time it was around 110 and it was curb rash.

Thanks, that doesn't sound bad. I bought a set of wheels off ebay, after explaining to the seller I did not want anything that wouldn't balance or were bent. I was assured they were good. They aren't. The cosmetics aren't real important to me, but I do want them to run true.

I used to work with Jeff Happel at Verizon, wheel repair was his hobby and something he enjoyed doing. He takes pride in his work you could see it in his eyes he would light up when he talked about it.

It's good to know these guys are around, but these wheels were too far gone for me. Junk actually. I shipped them back to Florida this morning. But I appreciate the responses!
