VIR is hosting their annual Holiday Laps on Friday November 8th.
If you don't normally track your car but think it would be fun to drive around the VIR Full Course, this is your chance. There will be multiple sessions throughout the day, 20-25 mins at a time. The fee is a $25 donation or $25 worth of new toys or non-perishable food. The sessions will not be "fast", maybe 70-75 mph with no passing, but if you're not familiar with the track that's plenty fast.
Gates open at 7:30am, and you can do as many sessions as you want - just bring a separate donation per session. I've heard rumors there may be hot laps, maybe in an Ariel Atom, not sure on that.
Details on the VIR website are slim (and dated 2011) but several car forums online have verified that the event is going on as planned.

I'm already planning to go down, as I'm signed up for the Audi Club DE that Sat/Sun.
Just thought I'd see if anyone wants to go down just for the holiday laps on Friday.
