Travis, what software do you use to combine video clips?

Hey Beth,
I am using the "free" version of Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0.  http://www.adobe.com/downloads/cs2_downloads/

The software is a real PITA at first. I've been using Photoshop for over a decade and Premiere killed me for the first hour or so until I watched a few tutorials on youtube.

I'll come up with a quick tutorial or find one to get you started.

Here is a 4-part tutorial. I'll be honest and say I did not watch this, but I skimmed through them very quickly and it covers the bases.

1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v3Ri1nSKWEM
2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9FH4TvPpuVc
3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shrPSmPGHmU
4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_1OdaVIuXo

Here is an example of a video I made combining 4 runs into one video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SygVr5ytKUk

The first 200 from heats 1 and 2 are online. I will upload the other 400 tomorrow night sometime.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/ogburn/sets

Just choose the set in the upper left marked Autocross @ RIR 6-9-13.

Thanks to Gunny for the heat 2 photos and to Chris, Beth, Gunny, Jeff, and Dana for letting my niece, Kate, ride with them. She gets her learner's tomorrow and is anxiously awaiting an autocross school.

David

The rest are uploading now. It will take a little while as there are another 294. I usually upload photos at 1/2 original size. I am willing to share the full res versions with anyone who wants them. Each file is 4-5 Mb.  Just give me the name of the event and the number of the photo, e.g., DSC_1234, and I will email them to you.

This was my 42.8 run however the results show that I got a cone somewhere.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZtTaOBBSoc&feature=youtu.be

That was pretty awesome! always on the gas and holding it till the last 100th of a second. I think I just learned a lesson! Thanks..
You should get a rear facing camera, you would probably see your cone flying thru the air! Smiley

I was working the course when Chris ran. He hit a cone on the little slalom near the end. Around the 43 second mark in the video is where he would have been. Unless he had one elsewhere, or on another run, that would be it. I was at station 4 and we assumed station 5 called it in.

That's where I thought it looked close the first cone in the slalom I had too much angle in the steering and ran over the cone with my front driver's side as the slip angle corrected.

Just watched all my videos. I leave the go pro on the side of the car on almost the whole time. Funny what I and other people say sometimes!

OK, loaded my photos into flickr so they should be easier for people to download.  It takes a long time to upload them and I have about 250 more to go so check back if you do not see your car....enjoy.

Thank you, Eric. These look good and lots of Miatas. Smiley
I like this shot of my locking the brakes and the trail of smoke.

I made a composite video of my runs for heats 2 - 5. I know the angle is not the best, but I just got my hood/bumper/headlight painted and didn't want to put the suction cup up there yet.
