Here are some videos from my Miata today.
In the first run I forgot how short the slalom was and completely missed the turn-in point for the u-turn. I almost spun at the end of the second run, but I managed to save it.

I had a blast this weekend. Thanks everyone!

heres one of mine in the aerio. having fuel slosh issues with the much stickier toyos on the first dry race day. Any quick solutions to fix this? ran around half a tank of gas for this event.

My Civic will lose fuel mid-corner if < 1/2 tank.  I usually just run a full tank.

Neal Davis had a similar issue on his Mini when he and I first met.  He had to run a full tank of fuel to avoid it.  His issue was that the fuel pump was rated to handle over 300hp and his car only puts out about 200.  I think it was causing a vortex in the fuel letting air in.

The fix was to fab a sort of baffle for the tank at the bottom of the pick-up.  We cut up a 5 gallon gas can and used the pieces and aluminum rivets to put together a basket that had high sides so the fuel would all be sloshed away from the pick-up in the turns but lower front and rear openings so it wouldn't starve when the fuel gets low.  In the mini, the fuel pick-up is spring loaded and pushed against the bottom of the tank.  We put the baffle at the bottom of the pick-up and pushed it in.

Ever since he has been able to get away with as little as 1/2 a gallon in the tank with no starvation.  He drains both sides of the tank after every event and put in 1 and 1/2 or 2 gallons in before each event depending on how many people will be driving it.

Maybe a new fuel tank, I used to have a car that chugged <1/4 tank on hard accel and it turned out to be cracked baffles in the tank.

I think it is a piece from one of those razors that you break off when it is dull.

I hope not the car is a 06 and being a suzuki parts are few and far but i will be dropping the tank soon to replace the filter so i will loo into options maybe even converting to a out of tank pump.

Here is my fastest run from Sunday.

http://youtu.be/a2zyw1GxHms

I think this one is Marc's fastest run.  He only recorded 4 of the 5 so not sure if this is 4 or 5.

Everyone knows that as long as 1 wheel is touching a solid surface it will go where ever you point it. Wink
