Auto Show 2013

VMSC has been invited to participate in this years Auto Show at the Richmond Convention Center.  The Show is March 22 - 24. To participate we will need to have volunteers to work 4 hour shifts for the 3 show days. We would need to have about 18 volunteers and we need 2 representative cars. The cars may need to be put in the show on Wednesday or Thursday. We will need to let the show know if we are able to participate son.  If you can work one of the days for 4 hours and or enter a car let me know at autoxcap@gmail.com  Of course we also have an autox on the 24th.

Nah, not if you're displaying for VMSC.  We don't want people to get the impression you
have to have a Porsche or an NSX to play.   

As long as it doesn't leak anything (including parts), it's more than welcome.

I am unfamiliar with this term "polish" that you are using.  Similarly, I've heard people refer to something called "washing cars".  Not sure what that is either, I can't fit my car in the dishwasher, washing machine or shower

I bet the Miata would draw quite a bit of attention, it'd certainly stand out.

OK. I'll go with the Le Mons car.  Here are the requirements they gave me last year.
  The cars will be entered during the day on Wednesday. Pick up is Sunday night after 6:00 pm ( probably closer to 7:00 ). Cars shall have less than 1/4 tank of gas. The gas cap must be locked or taped. Positive battery cable disconected. No oil or coolant leaks. Proof of insurance (although they never asked for this, don't bump a Ferrari).

We will need to sign a contract committing to the cars and workers.

Has anyone checked with William to see if he wants to bring the Genesis again?

Or he could just bring his new marque trophy... not sure there's room for both.

Hmm...insurance.  that could be an issue.  how much of a requirement is that because I definitely don't have insurance on the LeMons Miata.

BTW: There were some race cars last year, and I don't beleave that those cars were insured.

My black evo would have been a good option for this but I havnt started prepping it for its magazine feature and I could never have it ready in time for the show with the ammount of hours they got me scheduled at work this month.

Standards for this particular display at the show are... somewhat different from the rest.

You are correct, there would not be enough room for the Genesis AND the trophy.  :-)
I can't make it to it this year.  Everyday and night is pretty booked (except for Sunday from 9-5).
I like Justins Lemons car there. That will be great.
