It's just South of Fredericksburg right off of I-95.  A little farther than MEP, but if they build a 2mi road course, that would be pretty sweet.

Also, I love how there are noise complaints from the people who built/bought houses in close proximity to an existing drag strip and circle track.  What a bunch of morons.

Southside Speedway went through the same issue in the 80's. There was a lot of pressure to shut down the speedway, not only because of the noise, but mainly because of the traffic issues on race nights. In a move that would never fly today, the county backed the speedway. The prevailing opinion was that people who bought property near the track knew it was there, as well as the issues that a race track creates.

PLUS, I wouldn't have to drive all the way to Summit Point to blow up my race car next time!

Thornburg is at exit 118. I drive past it about every weekend. Usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour from Richmond.

On another note. When I was searching for a home 17 years ago in the Richmond area, Brandermill became my choice location because of it's location to SouthSide Speedway. Love the place.
