Movie and Garage Night?

So, my friend and I were discussing this last night, and we thought it would be awesome to have a movie night in various peoples garages, watching car-related films, with beer and pizza.  Maybe do it once a month and rotate between all the garages housing projects and race cars.  A projector and sheet would give you an impromptu movie screen, and most people have a radio and speakers in their garage.  What does everybody think?  Here's the list we came up with:

Being inside the garage adds ambiance. And I resent the implication that the only reason I have space is cause I just moved in...I have space because my garage is enormous .

I've got a projector as well.

I'll plan on setting this up within the next month or so at my place, and will let someone else carry on the torch for month 2!

My garage is so small I don't have any usable wall space for a projector image!
but the vette happily rests there with no complaints.

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to post an update.  I am tentatively planning on July 12th (Thursday), for the first one.  Planning on showing Senna at my garage.  Was hoping to do it this month, but currently the Subaru and one of the motorcycles are in a million pieces all over the garage floor, so I wanted to finish that and get everything cleaned up first.  Please let me know how that works for everyone's schedules.  My garage is pretty close to the intersection of I95N and 295, heading towards Ashland. 

Also, I had an idea:  I'll cover the pizza, and everyone brings a six-pack of their favorite beer to share (I will only mock you slightly if this is Bud or Miller ).  Thoughts?  We did this a couple times in Ohio, and it was always entertaining getting to try 5+ different beers.

Two movies you may want to add to the list are "The Worlds Fastest Indian", and "The Boys of Bonneville". I have them both.

Just checking in now that we're getting close.  I got the Subaru finished and the bike put back together, and both are running and driving.  I am planning to go up there tonight to set the projector up and make sure everything works.  It also looks like the temperatures this week are going to be a bit more reasonable, which is great.

I have a big meeting at work early the next morning.

Excellent question, took the home theater apart last night and went to the garage to make sure everything worked, and at 7 things were still a little washed out on the projector from the ambient light.  By 8-8:30 things were looking good.  So I would like to plan on 8pm for people to get there, and after cracking open a beer and touring the shop, we can start the movie shortly thereafter.  Run time is 106 min, so we should finish right around 10pm.
