Scott Hoffman and I had a fun trip to the DC ProSolo. It was my first one.

The best part of the weekend was seeing the outpouring of support for Scott's daughter, Chelsea. Along with what VMSC did, it makes you proud to be part of the autocross community. For anyone who doesn't know the story or who hasn't donated, here is the link.

SCCA events (Nationals', National Tours & Pro Solo's) place a driver unique bar code on your helmet. They scan each driver's helmet at the start line and the data is sent electronically to the timing and scoring computer to confirm who is running.

At PCA events they put the barcode on the car, not the driver.....

What a fun event. SCCA is doing a year long program for Chelsea. They are selling the United Behind Chelsea contingency donor stickers to everyone for a donation, then if someone wins money they pledge to donate a portion back. Sounds like they are doing it at all 20+ events this year. More to come as it unfolds.
