Noon:     Appetizers and cash bar

For the fashion-challenged among us (and those who have not attended a VMSC banquet before), what is the recommended dress code?

When the Banquet was a dinner, most people dressed "business casual". Typically a collared shirt and maybe a sport coat for the guys (some wore a suit & tie) and similar attire for the gals. However, now that it's a luncheon, I suspect the dress will be a bit more relaxed?  I didn't go last year so I'm not sure what people wore.

It was the same as usual last year.  I'll likely wear a suit, but that's because I have to speak.

Shucks.  My wardrobe tends toward extremes, i.e. very casual or very dressy.
I'm not too good with the in-betweens.

So if I'm not dressed up I'll have to keep my mouth shut....?
