Hey everybody, I just registered for the autocross event at RIR this Sunday. I look forward to participating in it. I have been wanting to compete in one for awhile now, but never really got a chance to. My brother has an 04 EVO that he use to autocross with, and I would go to watch and it seemed pretty fun. I have an 04 Subaru STi and I love the car. I have done a few suspension mods that I would really like to put to use, and I think an autocross would do that.

Here's a link to my Journal on another forum. It's where I keep a list of all the stuff that I've done to my car, so I don't forget. http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gd-members-journals/193475-hunters-jbp-04-sti-fresh-pictures-pg-59-a.html

My name is Hunter, and I look forward to meeting all of yall.

I read that their is a member meeting every 3rd Thursday, so I figured I could ride out to River city Diner this Thursday and see what thats all about. The resturant is only 5 minutes from my house anyway.

Hi Hunter, welcome to the forum.  The meetings are usually ~20 minutes of us talking about club business (upcoming events, etc) and about 90 minutes of just talking to each other about cars or whatever else during dinner.  Once a quarter we hold the meetings at GForce karts and do a few races.

Sounds like a car meet Grin...Look forward to it. Is their a specific spot in the diner that yall sit at, just so I don't have to walk all over the place looking for a group of people. Cool

Is their a course layout sheet that shows how the course will be set up sunday? Or do we get to walk it before everything starts on sunday?

I have been checking the Entry List for the Practice/School autocross on Saturday to see if someone canceled, and someone did. So I quickly registered for it... Smiley

40 bucks isn't bad at all.

Good stuff getting into the Practice Autocross!  If you come to the meeting, we sit in the meeting room all the way at the back of the restaurant.

Course maps don't exist ahead of time, you'll get to walk the course before the event starts.

I plan on bringing my member ship application forum to the meeting, it says that I can give it to someone there. Will it be okay if my dad comes with me, im not sure if he'll be coming or not but if he doesn't plan on cooking anything for super that day then he would like to come with me.

No problem. He is welcome. Give the membership application to our Treasuruer, Audie Chenery. If she isn't there, someone else can take it.
