I made a couple templates of RIR and VMP which should help with course layout for ODs.  There are two slides of each location, one with an overhead map and one without.  Both have grids, RIR has a 50 foot grid and VMP has 50 and 100 foot grids.  They can be found here on Google Docs.

Maybe this is a dumb question but what does OD stand for?

Officer of the Day. The OD is responsible for designing and building the course, with help of course, as well as the running of that day's event.
