Just installed a H-bar on my Mitsubishi Mirage looking for suggestions on the amount of torque that should be applied to the bolts.  I don't want to crack the aluminum mounts.

Tight is tight, too tight is broken Grin

What are the mounting bolts being bolted into and how big (thread size) are they?

The bolts are going into the chassis and they are about 1/2" or slightly under I torqued them at 80 foot lbs.
