Has anyone brought up this idea before? I'm sure a lot of people that race autocross go to G-force alot, and it could be kind of cool to race the same course in a car, scaled up, of course.

I could see an issue with the track being far too fast, and too short of a lap time, depending on how big it was. The back stretch is fast in a kart, let alone a car.

That's not a bad idea.  I think it would definitely be fun.  There's nothing to say we can't take a few liberties to make sure speed doesn't get out of hand or to more efficiently use the space in the lot.  I think the toughest part would be replicating the key walls with cones in a manner which doesn't confuse people.

If you're interested in designing the course and/or OD'ing the event, I could help.  I've got to-scale layouts or RIR and VMP (I think this would work at RIR) and can help with the course design.  Let me know.

Last year I downloaded a couple of guides on auto-x course design, and there are some issues that might make that course unsafe for competition.  That track has a couple of big descending radius turns, which supposedly are not very friendly to sedans (i.e., roll-over risk).

But I do love  the newly-redesigned track!  Never will I have to master that transition turn past the start/finish line that gave me so much trouble!

I will be glad to help if you want to OD an event. Let Funrun know which event you want to OD. I am free any time but Memorial day weekend.
