I never been happier about finishing fourth in my life... The car did pretty good, they were very fast courses, good surface (when dry) and flowing design. The motor fluffed a plug on my fast run Tue. but it managed to clean out by the finish. I was happy after day one and was hoping to maybe jump up another spot on Wed.
Wed. about 1 hour before we ran the bottom fell out and the course was almost underwater. Everyone on grid was changing to rain tires. We don't own any rain tires. I knew we were in trouble if the rain didn't stop, fortunately it did. The course was in full wet conditions on our first runs and we were off the pace. Still the course was drying fairly quickly. On our second runs we found some more traction and I was back in fourth overall. By the third runs everyone had changed back to slicks. The first half of the course had a dry line, but a few turns and the finish were still very wet. Every time out the course conditions had changed. I ran at the end of our run group and was sitting in 6th place after everyone else improved on their third run. I needed to pickup around 4 seconds to get back in the trophies. I managed to pickup 6 seconds. Wish I had videos but the camera isn't waterproof and the spray on the lense probably would have ruined the video anyway.
By far the most intense autocross experence I ever had.
