We will again have a booth at the Richmond International Autoshow this year!

Dates are: Friday, March 13th - Sunday, March 15th.
Place is: The Richmond Convention Center.
Time: 10:AM to 10:PM  Friday and Saturday.
        10:AM to 6:PM Sunday.
3 of our Club Cars will be on display

We break down our Volunteer Work Schedule into teams of 2-3 people for a 4 hour shift.
That means:
     10:AM to 2:PM
       2:PM to 6:PM
       6:PM to 10:PM

It is always alot of fun.  Ask anyone who has done it before.  We have some videos of past Autocrosses playing, Flyers on both Autocrossing and Rallying, etc.  All we need to do is be friendly, talk up our hobby and answer questions.  Many of our Members came to VMSC by way of the Autoshow contact.

If you have some time and would like to sign up for a shift, let us know.  Times can be a little flexable.
Post questions here or e-mail us.    capassut@comcast.net

The Autoshow is this week!
We have all our time slots filled with 2 workers except for Saturday the 14th 6:pm to closing.
If you can help at that time or as a 3rd back-up at any of the times, please let me know ASAP.
We need to bring our worker list to the Show office on Wednesday PM.

**Reminder: Workers get in free (if your name is on the list) and you get 100 worker points for participating in a club activity.

Did any Sunday workers happen to see my hat laying under the table?  I can't seem to find it.  Thanks!

That's the one!  Thanks!  It amazes me to think I didn't notice my head was bare.  I walked back to my car in a falling mist.  'Course, Jeff & I were running our mouths...

Thanks to everyone who worked the VMSC booth this year!
There were less Dealerships at the Autoshow this year. Economics got in the way of both exhibits and attendance....
BUT we had a number of folks stop by and express an interest in Autocrosses and Rallys.
A few have already joined our message boards.

Thanks again to-
John, Donna, Michael, Bill, Dennis, Aaron, Gordon, Pasha, Adrian, Jeff, Chuck, Betsy, David, Micky and Matt for working the Booth...
And a special thanks to David, Lonnie & Charlie for displaying their cars.

And a special "no thanks" to the $61K conversion van that blocked the VMSC table to a 90-degree swath of the convention.

While I agree with Adrian that we could have done without the big black van next to us, position was much improved from last year in that we were located with near the enthusiast booths - the Vette and collector car clubs.  That meant that more of the folks strolling by were often generally more interested in motorsports than those there simply car shopping.  We talked with lots of folks, and gave out a fair number of $10 off tickets to many we talked to who were genuinely interested, and I have a feeling we'll see some of those folks in the near future, if not on the 29th.  We were the ones who talked with slyp-dog who is pre-learners.  Hope he stays interested because he is a real nice fellow.  4 hours passed quickly and was enjoyable.
