We finally got the car down the Peter to finish tuning it.  I had gotten the fuel tables close enough while street tuning it that we didn't need to make any changes - it was running ~12.0-12.5:1 AFR at WOT, so we just messed around with the timing.  I had the motor timed at ~16 degrees base timing.  We tried going to 18 and it lost a some power.  We found peak power at only ~12 degrees of timing.  The difference was pretty astounding - like an additional 40hp compared to 18 degrees.  Here is a video of one of the runs.  Sounds good.

Only Driven on Sundays ! This car is PURE AWESOME !
2004 z06 last year of model SSP or CAM-S Class, still has AC, stereo and a steering wheel. 65k miles most of which are highway driving to & from events. The car is located Richmond Va this is a well prepared autocross car that can easily double as a fun street car and/or a track car. Over $20,000USD invested over the years in parts not including labor or maintenance items.

The car is in good shape completely rust free but has a ton of cone rash, the front bumper is beat up (I drove straight through a plastic water barrier at an autox) and the body shop put a new bumper cover on it, paint never held up afterwards, car is garage kept very well maintained (oil changes, brake & clutch fluid flushes, transmission & diff fluid flushes all amsoil products, new front hubs installed last winter), The body is in good condition, front and rear bumper and decklid need paint, fenders, rear quarter panels, mirrors etc good

BTW Tirerack's road hazard dept. covered a brand new tire and shipping. I had to submit photos and documentation and within a week I had a check. Gotta love Tirerack. Very customer friendly.
PS also purchased a space saver spare for the Boxster (did not come with one from Porsche)

I would love to get my OZ wheels powder coated, and I already have the perfect color in mind.

That sucks, it's kind of ironic that we were just talking about Tireracks return policy while working the course yesterday.

After the auto-x today I had a tire failure on a brand new set of tires. The sidewall split. Sending a huge thank you to several of our VMSC members that stayed and helped with jacks, tools etc. Especially Marc Portanova. He loaned me the front wheel/tire off his GT3. Now that's a real friend. I got home safely. Thank you all. Now, that call to Tire Rack and hope they will step up.

Glad you made it home. Hope you can sort it out with Tirerack.
