Thanks guys, I've had the most votes for NT01's, unfortunately they are the most expensive! Of course if they last longer, then thats less mount & balance cost too. How many 20 minute sessions at nccar would you think they average? I've found Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's for 600 shipped, which is about half the NT01's, but they probably will only last a few track days, especially NCCAR.

Only 135 Gunny in the vette? I thought you'd be higher than that! Notice I said "ultimate grip" Obviously I want to stay on the pavement, just don't want Hoosier like grip so I can feel to mistakes, in a safe way of course!

Well I'll follow you into turn one so you can test that "Ultimate grip" on cheap tires! Yea I rounded down, you made me look at my videos. All I could muster was 138, sorry to disappoint.

LOL
your going to have a blast!

You know what I mean! Not cheap, but rather low cost good tires!

Is yours LS2 or 3? I think the gearing got taller in the c6 didnt it? I get into 5th at about 133 and half way down the straight if I hit the sweeper right but not sure what I top at, stereo has gps speed but stops at 135. I basically have c5 z06 drivetrain.

LS2 I'm in 4th gear. I think my 4th gear is good for about 150mph. I got close to that at VIR.

That's surprising with the 100 treadwear rating, which I know is subjective. Either way good to know, the NT01's have received the most votes, just wish they weren't so expensive. I would hate to cord the outside of them while still lots of center tread.

Thanks for the help guys! gonna marinade on it for a while...

Very true. What do you think worst case scenario at nccar on a heavy car is?

Worst-case - probly a couple dozen.  Id expect them to last at least twice as long as other options though.

275/35/18 NT01s are $249ea at Discount Tire Direct.  Can't comment on number of sessions, it depends too much on your setup and driving style...also NCCAR chews up tires.
