Most of you guys know I love to build stuff.

Lately I've gotten a handful of smaller jobs that require some Engineering (math/simulation), some 2D and 3D CAD work as well as fabrication. It seems like everyone in the motorsport community often times has this same need, so I figured I'd broaden it out a bit and post here to see if any of the VMSC members had something they had been dying to do but didn't have the time, knowledge or tools.

The current "box" I'm putting myself in, is the following:

Materials:
Aluminum
Steel
Stainless

Thicknesses:
up to 3/8"

Welding services:
MIG
TIG
ARC

CAD service:
2D and 3D models, drawings and simulations

Rates:
I can price per job, or by the hour (depends heavily on what it is)

I am trying to steer away from production work as I don't have the time resource. However 1 offs and concepts, even if fabricated elsewhere, would be in the wheel house of tasks I can complete all hours of the night. Along with that emergency repairs can be arranged if the situation is needing it.

If you need help with anything, send me a note via email (inskeepwp@gmail.com) and I'll let you know what I can do & when. Current backlog runs me out to the end of August for "big" projects. But I can always sneak an hour or 2 in somewhere to handle a urgent need.

Let me know
Paul

Random stuff I've done in the last 6ish months to give you an idea of capabilities:

Aluminum intercooler and intake piping
Various roll cages/roll bars
Repairs under BMW chassis (e36 & e46)
Fender Rolling
Chassis Crack repairs on Race Car
Machined pistol slide for red dot sight
Door cards and sunroof delete
and much more

Qualified 21st, finished 19th; things got a little sketchy near the end, but I was still happy with my result...these guys are fast! 😄

When I'm not at an actual race track or motorsport event, I've found a quite suitable substitute...virtual racing! These simulations are very realistic. All that's missing is the natural effects of weather and gforces on your body, risk of bodily harm, and costly repairs, lol. I might also add it's far cheaper than real-world racing also!

There's tons of cars to race; from street stock to GT Prototype to F1, you name it, you can probably drive it here. I'm a member of a couple racing leagues, which I will make individual topics for. The cool thing is many racing events are "broadcast" live on the internet via YouTube and Facebook; these events are covered with all the realism of any NASCAR or F1 race you would watch on T.V. Look for the League threads I'll post soon!

Hey Folks,

The time has come to sell my 1989 Honda Civic Si that Iíve owned for 18 years. The car is set up for STS and is very competitive both locally and nationally. It was my first car and means a lot to me (which is why Iíve held onto it for so long), so I would love to see it go to someone locally who can enjoy it as much as I did. Email me at brenton.carson@gmail.com if you're interested or would like to see it in person. Thanks, Brent.

Can we get some insigbt on the Honda muscle car build.

Yeah, I've gotta get back to it.  I set the Insight aside to build the Porssat.  Now that it's done, I need to wrap up some more urgent stuff (head gasket on my truck, rebuild trailer axles) and then I can get back to it.
