Put street tires on all of those torque monsters and its easy to see them having trouble keeping up with less powerful vehicles. Though why they pulled the ZR1 off the stock exclusion list is beyond me.

I'm still not in the results. it's not a huge deal because i'm not going for points, but it would be nice to see where i ended up with a certainty.
John Krom #29
John Your in the results as number 65, I don't really know what happened with your entry. anyhow looks like you did pretty good. I also moved Lonnie out of AM and put him in CS, I put keath is ssp too. use the links like I posted earlier to access gunny Not to be a whiney ninny but can my 2-5 runs be DNF'ed and leave me in STU? This will keep all of my points in STU for the season. Thanks

I did gunny .. but since we were short handed I had to be placed somewhere so I was told.
My apologies on that. I thought you had said you couldn't run so we put you someplace that shouldn't have needed to run. I didn't realize standing was an issue. I am truely sorry if you were hurt by the placement.

Keath, you might check your motor mounts. If they are broken that would let the engine/bracket/other part move forward and hit the radiator.
Thanks Gene. We will have to look at them. We had the engine and trans mount replaced with some pretty much solid units. I suppose I could have broken one and not know.

Great event. Though I think I need to send an independent auditor in to check your cones for embedded spikes. Raggy will fight another day. As soon as I get a new radiator on order. Danielle and Justin must be confused. Its probably the only car that has broken at a VMSC in the last couple of years that didn't end up at their house! Thanks to Gunny for letting me flog his vette even though the last time he did that it broke. As usual our autocross community shows itself to be awesome. I had several people willing to toss me the keys to their cars. I would have loved to have driven any of them. I am beginning to wonder if Gunny booby trapped me or something. He had asked me that morning if I would be willing to drive his car and give him some feedback on the setup.

Instructor assignments have been posted, same DE Documents page.
They'll be announced at the drivers' meeting Friday morning, so it's optional whether you print or even look at the list before you go. I don't recognize the names of any of our instructors (mine included) so I can't offer any insights.
Guess you would just have to do you instruction time in the RV. He should fit in that. My biggest concern is how big the guy is... it would be just my luck to end up with a 6 foot, 250 lb instructor that doesn't fit in my tiny car! It's not like I have a voluminous 911 that can carry me and a weekend load of gear!!!

I think I disagree a little bit... I love the feeling that a car will do exactly what I ask it to, and do it well. That the only thing holding it back is the fact that I haven't asked more.
I think that might be the key to you getting Beth. If the car does what you ask of it everytime you will never find the limit. Some people believe in tip toeing to the edge of the envelope. I prefer to run head long with my eyes shut and see where I end up

Holy cow you people need to start travelling out of town to get more autocrossing in. It might reduce this mass insanity that seems to be setting in between events

I have a set of Z1's from last year that still have a good amount of life left in them. We have already started running the BFG Rival and Z2 from this year so I am selling these so someone can get some use out of them. Included in the photos are a couple of pics of a depth gauge showing tread depth. Not sure how to read it properly so I will let you interpret it.
I think 1 had a screw in it when I took it off the rim but it is in the tread so it is repairable without worrying about safety.
Asking $200 or best offer for the set of 4.
PM or e-mail me keath (at) marx (dot) ws
