Putting a note here to look for Jeff C in the computer results.

Are there results or media from the Saturday practice?

I will take a look on the computer and see if they are there and post tonight.

Just wanted to say y'all ran a great event- course was fun, weather was great, and was nice seeing our friends in VMSC again.  Melissa and I had a lot of fun. Smiley

Thanks for the kind words. I hope a bunch of us make it to ACU4 in October and you all can make it to VMP in November.

James,
Under Top Times of the Day you have:
Pax    0.000    n    88    Goh, Kenneth

Strange, I will delete this person from the results. That should fix it. Edit. I think they just need to be classed. They have times just no class.

Pretty cool. Slaloms are easy in HS. Just 100% gas the whole time Smiley
55  Events / Autocross / VAC Danville Videos on: August 10, 2015, 07:04:00 PM
Here are some videos from Audie and I this weekend at the VAC in Danville. Also for fun, I did a side by side of a Civic SI and Porsche GT3. The civic would have won if it wasn't for those straightaways Smiley

Lots of fun today. Thanks to everyone who helped!
58  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: I think I am being mis-classed on: July 22, 2015, 08:12:50 AM
My fault on this. After each event, I move any car that doesn't appear to fit the class. I thought STS was a miata and civic class. Didn't even know BMW made 4 cylinder cars in the US. I will update this weekend.

Thanks!

This might have been my favorite course at RIR, but maybe because I had a hand in the design Smiley

Tim A once again demonstrated driving at its finest, wish him luck at Nationals this year.
61  General / Open Forum / Re: Class rules for rim width on: July 13, 2015, 04:51:53 PM
The wheels would bump you to a street prepared class (SP). 7.5" is the max width in STF.

Also max width tires are 225.

Ask Gene at the next event about staying in STF or changing to the by the book class.
62  General / Open Forum / Re: Class rules for rim width on: July 10, 2015, 06:23:04 PM
Short answer: yes

Long answer: it depends on how wide you go. Street touring has wheel width and tire width rules.

Congrats to Ben L for another FTD! Also nice driving to Joe B for top pax, STX has one of the hardest paxes this year.

See everyone at our non-points Autocross at VMP on Sunday June 28th. This is the largest site we have and will be fun!

74  General / Classifieds / Re: Take off tires on: June 12, 2015, 01:52:57 PM
This gets me thinking.... I finally decided to spend some money on autocross this year on tires. So I purchased the BFG Rivals, this season so far I estimate I have 30 runs on them. When should I consider shifting them from front to back etc... RWD FRS...

I don't believe the Rivals are directional, right?  If that's the case, I would do like James said and cross rotate them (front left to back right, front right to back left, rear left to front left, rear right to front right) every event.  If you want to do it less frequently, just do it when they start to wear differently.

I'm used to driving a car that only wears the front tires though, so the difference in tire wear after every event is noticeable.

Haha no rookie hazing on the rotating. I try to rotate every event and will be flipping the tires on the rim in a week or so.

Fyi shaving not parallel to the axis of rotation is currently not legal in SCCA rules. But, you can do a burn out in your driveway until you get the shape you want. Smiley

Every event. Cross rotate those.
