We do have loaner helmets that you can borrow for free. What modifications have been done to your F150 and what size tires are you running? Especially if it's 4wd, I'm not so sure you'd be able to run it unless it's been lowered a bit and has some lower profile tires on it. The SCCA won't even allow Scion xB's to run because the chance of rollover is too high.

What is the difference in the two days? Do the points from this event count towards our points?
Good question. Traditionally, we've only awarded attendance points when it was at BRR, but there's no real reason for that...we just haven't ever discussed it. Would be open to changing that.

Awesome course was actually able to use some torque out there in the Subaru's! The ? Cristensen is "Andrew Kristensen" Probably couldn't ready my chicken scratch on the registration sheet sorry. Ah, thanks. Someone accidentally overwrote your first name with a car number during the event.

I know I went off course twice...once before the turnaround and once after. I guess I should have walked it a couple more times.

It also depends on what you're comparing it against or what your expectations are. If you're getting it for NB Miata money and that is your comparison (and they both run CS), you will likely have more fun with it than if you're comparing it to other Porsches out there.
Now, if you're comparing it to the Evo VIII in your sig...I dunno. I'd drive it and see what your gut says.

General / Classifieds / Wanted: 4x100 donut spares

I would like to have several more 4x100 donut spares. Size doesn't really matter as long as I can cobble together matching pairs. I already have 2 115-70-14s, so that size would be nice, though not necessary. I'm not looking to pay much money, maybe $10ea...just know that they're going to an awesome cause. I know people must have these things laying around. Post up what size you've got and are willing to part with.
I'd be willing to trade you a 14" 4x100 steel wheel with tire that you could use as a full-sized spare for each space saver that you give me.

We were 38th out of 108. It appears that these are after penalty laps and I think we got 30 penalty laps. I have no idea how many anybody else got. I'm super happy with the result considering there is only one car above us that was slower than ours. Also, our fastest laps were in the last 30 minutes when we stopped trying to conserve tires and short shifting at 5k-5500rpm. Prior to that, we were running around the 2:50 range.

LeMans sounds good to me. I'll bring about a case of beer, which should be plenty for everybody. I've got a variety of Sam Adams, some Yuengling and a few Dixie Beers. Danielle says they need to be out of the fridge this week.

General / Technical Help / Re: Sorry, another class thread

Since you're running Star Specs (or any 140+ treadwear tire) and your car is "eligible" for STC, you can run STC. Nobody in STC, or any other ST class can run in the "X" (street tire index) class since the "X" categorization is meant to be a handicap for people running street tires in classes where R-compounds are legal. In those classes (everything that's not ST), PAX assumes that they're running R-comps, so if they're running one of those classes on a street tire we give them the option to have their results printed next to all the other people running street tires in classes that permit race tires so as to not be comparing themselves with people running race tires.
The "X" categorization does not change anything other than where the results are displayed in the HTML file that gets posted. Season points are still based on your PAX time, which does not change.

STC seems fine off the top of my head. The street tire index class is for people who are running street tires (140+ treadwear) in a class where race tires are allowed. It just ensures all of their PAX times are printed together in the results. The ST_ classes aren't eligible for it because their PAX already counts then running street tires.

I think these numbers usually make sense, but there were some classing issues in the event. I changed all the classes to the correct ones to correct PAX times, but the other fields still look wrong.
The good news is that the only things that matter for points are raw time and class. We calculate the rest in Excel to ensure consistency in calculation across events within a season.

I'm pretty sure the pulley puts you in one of the SM classes. Besides that, it seems like you could run one of the ST classes. My view on classes is that they're not terribly important to get 100% right as long as you don't have an advantage over the other cars in that class. My other thought is that PAX time doesn't matter until you want to compete for club trophies, and people should have a pretty good idea of other cars/drivers they want to be close to in raw time, regardless of class.
In SCCA you can run whatever class you want until someone complains.
