Kerry Flynn should be in F/S rather than D/S. Thanks for ruining our "cookout".

Actually, the same gentleman, (Pasha), who handles on line registration also does the results. Like all of us working types, he fits in VMSC business when he can. So the time varies from a matter of hours to a week or so. After 10 days we'll light the torches and storm his home.

A big thank you from the OD's to Rod McGeorge for his assistance in with the course design. And a thanks to all who helped, especially Bill Whitehead, and Gene Cooley who helped and didn't even run.
555  General / Open Forum / i'm doing an autox project at school on: October 31, 2005, 03:24:57 PM
Rats, I thought it might be a "real world" project like an oil pan gasket replacement.
556  General / Open Forum / Economic advantage on: October 29, 2005, 05:13:39 AM
Install a Flux Capacitor in your Dakota, set the time travel for 20-40 years. Buy a new car at 1965-1985 prices, sell it upon your return to 2005 at current prices. Live happily ever after. Problem solved.  On your way back to 2005,  see if you can figure where Patrick lost his keys at the last VMP event.

558  General / Open Forum / set those clocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on: October 28, 2005, 03:55:36 PM

Okay, how many ZL-1 Camaros were built?
560  General / Autos and Autosport / Does this region have SM2? on: October 28, 2005, 06:52:20 AM
We haven't had much activity in the class, but we do recognize it.
561  General / Autos and Autosport / A little Corvette trivia.... on: October 28, 2005, 06:45:51 AM
More trivia.........

1. When was the "ZL-1" Corvette introduced?

2. How many were made?
562  General / Autos and Autosport / A little Corvette trivia.... on: October 28, 2005, 06:44:35 AM
You are correct. I didn't know that, personally.  A friend had an '80 L-82 with a 4 speed, and I confused myself. I remember a California emissions car with a 305 and an auto being tested in the early '80's and limping to a mid 16 second quarter mile. My, how things have changed.

Officially, there was no 83 Corvette, although 43 were built. The quality was so poor, that by the time it was tolerable, it was introduced as a 1984. Only one of the 43 is still known to exist, and it's in the Corvette museum. All '53,and '54 Corvettes were automatics. Somewhere in the mid to late 70's, I think most California Corvettes were automatics, some equipped with a 305 engine.

Scott's correct, only 230 Corvettes were built with 3spd in 1969, the last year it was standard.

And the 3 speed.........?
568  General / Autos and Autosport / A little Corvette trivia.... on: October 24, 2005, 02:14:55 PM
With so so many folks interested in, and autocrossing Corvettes, I have a few Corvette trivia questions........

1. What was the last year a "big block" was available in a
    Corvette?

2. What was the last year a 3 speed manual was the standard
     transmission in a Corvette?

3. What was only year a 396 cid engine was optional in a
Corvette, and what was its' rated hp?

Pat Griffith is selling his ESP Firebird. Pics can be seen @"www.frrax.com" in the classified forum. I don't need any more "toys", or I'd own it.

574  Events / Autocross / classing questions.... on: October 15, 2005, 05:29:53 PM
If there are questions regarding the classing of vehicles, PLEASE ask someone on the comp committee before the end of the event.
We can't change someones class after the event. To aid in properly classing your car, fill out BOTH sides of your registration card. The back of the card asks what mods have been made. The comp committee thanks you.
575  Events / Autocross / OD FOR 10/16 on: October 15, 2005, 12:15:28 PM
I understand that there is a mud bog going on tomorrow @VMP. We may need to close the gate, or post someone at the end of the lot to keep people off of the course.
