I'd like to. Can I let you know tomorrow?
31  Events / Other Events / Re: The Grand Tour viewing party on: November 16, 2016, 04:29:15 PM
I just saw on FB, that The Grand Tour will debut on the 17th @7:00 PM. It was the Grand Tour's page so it may be true. The initial date of the 18th was for the UK.

I can not wait to see it run.

Is that Brett Hamilton's place? He built the bar in the Vega.
34  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: Finding a custom roll bar on: November 02, 2016, 03:24:32 PM
Honestly, having one fabbed will probably cost more than what you're looking at. Even the one you spoke of needs welding doesn't it? What class requires roll over protection in a hardtop? Just curious.
35  General / Classifieds / Re: ITA Chevy Monza for sale. on: October 19, 2016, 05:21:03 AM
$5,000. Reasonable offers considered.
36  General / Classifieds / Re: ITA Chevy Monza for sale. on: October 05, 2016, 05:05:15 AM
$5500.00. I'm out of storage space, and need it gone. Engine not installed, but will help the next owner drop it in.

I don't. It was fast enough to hang on to one of the on track instructors in his Spec Miata. It ran down a pair of somewhat timidly driven Mustang 5.0's on the straights. Easily stayed with the other IT/A cars everywhere. Mostly CRX Si's, Miata's, a BMW 2002, and a couple of 240 SX's.  I did ask a friend who was in T&S how I was doing and they were going to get my times but once I blew the engine, I didn't pursue it. We were on SP main circuit. I'll sell the car without the trailer and spares, but I won't sell the trailer until the car is sold. I'm open to offers.

I finally got the engine back for the racer I bought 6 years ago. It has a road race pan, adjustable oil pressure regulator, and a Rochester 2GV carb. I have over $3500.00 in the engine alone. I lost my storage space, and I really just want to sell it. Has a logbook, but the belts will need updating. I bought it from Paul Costas in Texas, who bought it from Dave Brevard from the Indy region. The engine is completely rebuilt, it has a spare trans, a couple of rears, spare block, heads, cam, rods, pistons, cranks, doors, glass, hatch, rear, bumpers, and a ton of stuff I can't remember. Includes a black 20 foot Haulmark trailer with some shelving. In total, I have better than $12,000 in it. I'll throw in the HANS device with a decent offer. I'm looking for $6500.00 or best reasonable offer. I'll post pictures when I get a chance.
39  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: 9-4-16 event. on: September 14, 2016, 06:02:33 AM
You may want to keep running it in E/SP for year end points, since you've run SP successfully all year. Agree with the index on E/SP, (and CAM-C for that matter). Running what is essentially an uncompetitive F/Street car on crap tires in CAM-C causes me to scan the results from the bottom up these days.
40  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: 9-4-16 event. on: September 12, 2016, 05:08:55 AM
The only reason I bring it up is because we're using PAX for points. Thanks to the comp committee for resolving the issue.
41  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / 9-4-16 event. on: September 11, 2016, 06:03:58 AM
Has the committee looked at the classing questions regarding last week's event that Gunny and I posted?
42  Results / Autocross / Re: September 4th 2016 Results on: September 09, 2016, 01:05:14 PM
Does the comp committee have to make the changes? Just curious.
43  Results / Autocross / Re: September 4th 2016 Results on: September 04, 2016, 05:54:58 PM
Pretty sure the CTSV should be E/SP, not F/SP.
44  General / Classifieds / Re: A long shot, but................free! on: September 01, 2016, 07:24:37 AM
It's in Chester, but the garage looks to have been built by Ray Charles and Red Green. (It was here when we bought the place in 1995, no leaks and looks pretty good). It does have 100 amp service and a wood stove. Maybe I'll burn those NG's in the stove this winter if we move back. Smiley Oh yeah, an attached single car garage, also.
45  General / Classifieds / Re: A long shot, but................free! on: August 31, 2016, 06:23:45 AM
Understand completely. We're trying to down size and having a heck of a time doing it. Very real chance we'll be moving back to the old house, (it seems no one wants a 5 bed, 3 bath brick house with a 3 car garage on 2 acres!), but the less stuff we have, the happier we'll be regardless.

Does anyone have any interest in some National Geographic magazines? I have a few complete sets from the '80's and '90's. And most of the issues from many other years. I may ask some of the local schools if they want them. I hate to throw them away, and giving them away on CL is such a pain.
47  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: Help me class my build on: August 02, 2016, 07:10:41 AM
The "newer" 4.7 was used in Dodge trucks for several years recently. It may still be in use. You're a lot better off with the older engine.
48  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: Help me class my build on: August 01, 2016, 04:55:05 PM
The old 273 or the newer engine?
49  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: Opinions on running by class on: July 29, 2016, 05:35:29 PM
As long as points are earned based on the index, running by class is the only fair way. The idea was to eliminate weather advantages. I ran in DC/MD way back in the 70's and 80's with TAA and they ran by class back.
50  Results / Autocross / Re: Unmarked cones..... on: July 11, 2016, 07:36:08 PM
I always marked them all, including the pointers. If for no other reason than their orientation to the cone they're pointing to. Makes it so much much easier when you're trying to set cones quickly.
