2  General / Classifieds / WTB: HS class Hyundai Elantra on: August 08, 2016, 06:47:45 PM
Someone had a "for sale" sign on their Hyundai yesterday. Couldn't find out who owned it. I'm interested. (804)282-7334
3  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / Re: STS/STX rules question on: September 29, 2015, 08:22:16 AM
After researching more, I think the rule was changed and now it IS allowable to run a cold-air intake. I may have been reading an older (undated) posting of class rules.

NO interior trim may be removed in STS as far as I know. It is not mentioned as being allowable, else it WOULD be mentioned.
5  General Category / Ask the Competition Committee / STS/STX rules question on: September 29, 2015, 07:58:59 AM
Just read over SCCA "Permitted modifications" for STS/STX class. It states that changing "Alternate air filter elements" is allowed. I interpret that to mean going from an OEM filter element to a Fram air filter.

Later, it states that it is NOT permitted to change or remove "air cleaners." I am guessing that could refer to removing the stock air intake and replacing it with a cold-air system?

Maybe I'm wrong in my interpretation. I saw a car running in STS with a cold-air system and am now confused.

Any insight on this would be appreciated
