I am all signed up for the practice event.  Hopefully I will get this chain issue taken care of before the event. Misaligned sprocket issue.  You can take my kart out if you want.  Not a shifter kart but just as fun because you are at the same height with the cones and they look like orange blurs.

that sounds like a plan to me!

Is anyone up for swapping rides for the October 2nd AutoX?
I would love to drive something other than a Corvette.
shifter cart might be fun!

I believe that the 92 Corvette (#804) should be in B Street not A Street

Did any one find a tire pressure gauge in the grid Sunday? I went looking for it today and I had sinking feeling I left it behind. Liquid filled with a 45 degree angle chuck.

Thanks,
Kevin

Yes, its in the trailer.
If you need it soon I'd get with Bud so he can open the trailer.

I'm use to it now!
However I did like gridding up next to Ricardo, Paul, Joe, Jeff, James, Marc, ect in a single heat. Pretty much all different classes.
Made it fun because raw time is where its at! and we all know pax is pretty much random (best guess, thats why it changes every year) especially when it gets down to the local level.

here is my best run!
5th and last run. Tough course for my Vette! I need to ride or have Chris run with me and give me some pointers.
I had a blast though as usual and this is why I do this.

I'll take responsibility for that, I thought I had marked them all as I walked the course. I however did not mark the lay down/ wall cones, as it was my understanding they were for safety and clarity, not for penalties. I guess i should have had that clarified.

Aaron, hey you did good! All part of learning about being a OD

Ben,
Someone turned it in on Sunday, but I can't say for sure where it ended up.  I saw it in the trailer on the table.  I am sure it will find its way back to you at the next event!

Yea I put that pressure gauge in the trailer. It was stuck in a cone after saturday practice

Thanks for the quick posting of results! Also thanks to Chris and Gunny for setting the course up, I had a blast.  Also want to say a special thanks to Gunny for taking a minute (even though I was frustrated) to ensure I got a good run on the books and ultimately helping me get my best run of the day.

Mike, you dont have to thank me! but I do appreciate it. I would have done the same for anyone of us.

Locally you wont have an issue, at least not from me on this particular instance.

Is the lower grill have mesh in front or is it solid and you must cut it to get any airflow?

Paul

Rules are rules, if you let one slip then there are no more rules.
if we dont follow scca rules then what? We as a club have to be consistent about the rules in my opinion. If the club let's one slip then its a slippery slope to enforce any rules.

I like running in heats and I'm sure Ricardo loves it because not I cannot park right behind him and mess with him!
I'm not so sure how the randomness happens but in talking with Joe it seems that he lets the computer pick the randomness and adjusts from there. In my opinion the randomness of the heats need to be kept track of each event, if you do this then the board can plan the heats out for the future event and its not so random any more it more or less rotates from race to race instead of someone like James running in heat one two weeks in a row. It takes some extra work but I think you board members can make it happen!

I has been a while since I got 5th place pax, last time I think was in 2012, but better than that was beating Gunny and his cheating Pax!

Yea, got to sacrifice a lot when your the O.D. Part of the O.D. role is to build the confidence of some of the drivers (especially the one in a black BMW) so they will come back!  Wink

Since we are running heats by class, how and when will your heat assignment take place?

I believe that heat assignments will take place at registration and announced at the drivers meeting.

ok so it looks like we have a lot of interest and it looks like we have some nice folks willing to donate time and equipment. I'd like to do this! if everyone is good with this and the OD, board members are good we should do this at the May practice, I'd volunteer to be OD for may but I'm OD for the April race.

73  General / Technical Help / Re: Car scales and corner weight? on: April 02, 2016, 07:46:08 AM
I was talking with Marc last year and what he did to get a level playing surface was to get some floor tiles and stack them till he had each corner level with each other. Floor tiles are about 1/8" thick so getting something pretty close to level wont be to difficult.
