Hey there Ray,
I am still trying to confirm our calendar dates, but October 4th will not conflict in anyway.

Thanks,
Lonnie

OK that's great.

Thanks

Any news on the VMSC 2009 Schedule?  We've set aside October 4, in Verona for the 2009 edition VMSC-BRR Challenge.  I'm going to reserve the date with the government center in the next few days so please let me know if this is not going to work.

Send email to rschumin at comcast dot net

Thanks,

Ray

Thanks to Keath for figuring this one out for me (and all of us):

My e-mail address changed since I signed up for the permanent-number pseudo-event back in February, so I dutifully put my new e-mail address into my profile.  But then the e-mail address the system associates with my permanent number no longer mached the one in my profile.

I can't edit my permanent-number entry, so I set my profile back to its old value and could register just fine with my number.  Of course I won't get my any confirmation mail, but at least I can register!  Flip-flopping my profile is clumsy, but it works.

The registrar should be able to delete your old entry from the permanent number event and then add you back as a mail in entry with your new email address and everything should work

ESPN has been running a series this week on their website on the opinion of their panel of drivers and writers as to the best 25 drivers ever. http://sports.espn.go.com/rpm/racing/columns/story?columnist=blount_terry&id=3407489

Overall, it seems pretty well done. I think the NASCAR overload on the panel probably got Earnhardt a little higher than he deserved. I would have put him behind Petty. Pretty hard to argue with AJ and Mario given their successes in multiple series. I suspect that helped Stewart as well.

No Mark Donohue and no Dan Gurney!!!!!! Those guys at ESPN are idiots.

... sounded like you really enjoyed yourself.

I did enjoy it alot, but I think you may be refering to the in-car footage of Chris Caan's final run who also enjoyed it. We'll definitely be back next month... with friends!

I'm sure none of the VMSC people responsible for the safety of the event knew you were hand holding that camera during the run in the last part of your video. That is a very dangerous practice.
