Title: A few questions
Post by: allworknoplay on March 21, 2017, 07:23:07 PM
Hello! This season I will be competing for points. I have tried looking up how the scoring works but have not found anything so far. If someone could please help out that would be great. Also, for the season opener I will be co-driving with my cousin in my car. We both have at least 5-10 race events each under our belts. I am aware that co drivers can not ride together but if I can get more info on the do's and dont's that to will be great! I will be attending both Saturday and Sunday. For those who may remember me I am the red head driving the blue 2007 mustang GT in CAM-C.

Thanks!
John.

My head hurts after reading the competition points formula.

" Competition points are awarded at every autocross (and rallies, when we have them).  I'll only focus on autocross here.  The minimum number of points a participant receives is 200, the max is 1000.  The points are earned based on PAX time (this is why your class matters).  The driver with the fastest PAX gets 1000 points and the slowest driver, or anyone more than 15 seconds behind the fastest gets 200 points.  The rest of the field is distributed proportionally using this formula: 1000 - (800 * (your time - best)/(worst - best)).   (worst - best) is capped at 15 seconds"

Also, if you attend an autocross and work but don't drive, you still get 100 points
for that event.
