Title: 07/28-07/29/2012 Results
Post by: jloehlein on July 29, 2012, 04:07:58 PM
Results from today's autocross are posted up here on MyAutoEvents (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.ShowResults?psEVENT_ID=12924).

Times from the school (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.ShowResults?psEVENT_ID=12919) are also posted.

I've gone ahead and opened the August events on MyAutoEvents.  See the August section of our MyAutoEvents page (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmClubDetail.Show?psCLUB_ID=404) for registration.

Thanks for the quick results!

Just wondering though, why does it list Donna as last in SS when her time is clearly 2nd place?
The time is correct (afaik) but the table just has them ordered wrong for some reason.

I have another question about the results. In the Pax results I am listed to be last but it appears that the multiplier didn't change my time, it was left the same at 37.100. Is there a reason for this?

Thanks!

You are also listed incorrectly in DS. You were 4th and you are listed as 6th. I enjoyed talking to you today. Hope to see you back soon.

Yeah, that's pretty weird.  The computer had some classing issues.  I'll go back and update.  What class should you be in?

My message waasn't clear. Matt is shown in the right class, DS, but he isn't shown in the correct finishing position in DS or in the overall list.

As I thought... dead last LOL.  But, I'm actually pretty proud of myself for having all 5 runs clean, no cones were harmed :)  The speed will come!

Many thanks to the awesome instructors, and I really enjoyed the comraderie and friendliness of everyone both Saturday and Sunday!  I'm hooked!

Yeah I was wondering how I beat John and I am next to last in SS? I cam in 9th overall in raw and I am 94th in pax?

I'm not sayin' that Keath maybe changed something to make sure he beat you in PAX, but...

I should have time tonight to update this.

Looks to me like the pax multiplier simply didn't get multiplied.  Have no clue how that could happen though.

You should be 10th in PAX

In scanning the tables, the rightmost two columns just don't make sense in a lot of places!

Street tire (X) (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.ShowResults?psEVENT_ID=12924#x) for example - first place is shown as "4.991" seconds diff. from first.  ???
And the diff-from-1st numbers get smaller as you go down the class, not larger.
You can see the same sort of thing here and there all over the page.

Of course the right two columns don't matter so much, but it makes you wonder about
the other numbers, e.g. pax which could matter a lot.

I think these numbers usually make sense, but there were some classing issues in the event.  I changed all the classes to the correct ones to correct PAX times, but the other fields still look wrong.

The good news is that the only things that matter for points are raw time and class.  We calculate the rest in Excel to ensure consistency in calculation across events within a season.
