Title: course design
Post by: wahoo5 on March 06, 2011, 10:23:34 PM
Here is the latest Roger Johnson manual on course design. It should be mandatory reading for all ODs.

Great article/read.
Not only to course creators but for the novice to intermediate racers to read.
This if very informative to the novice for what to look for on a course.

Good stuff

Here's a link to Roger Johnson's latest version of his Solo Course Design presentation version 5.3 (http://houscca.com/solo/courses/Course_Design_5_3.pdf).  This one is current as of 2016.

David's file is available in our Files section (mouse over the "Home" tab at the top of the page,
or just go to our home page and click on the big box at right labelled "Click here to download
files").  Look in the folder called "Public Files".

Thanks to Greg for the updated version, I will put that in our Files section as well.

Another handy file we offer is maps of VMP and RIR, including satellite views and
grids for measuring distances.
