I forwarded your message to every NASA autoxer I could think of and posted it on autocross.us.

Hope it helps,

:bounce::p finally talked with vmp.

Just as I thought. The volunteers just need to tell the gate personnel that your with VMSC and helping to put on the autocross. They will check your names off the list.

It turns out the autocross is not as low key as I thought. They have it advertised on thier flyers and everything.:omg: So I am really  depending on my people to show. Please, no last minute cancelations. Cheesy All of you are very much needed.

Thanks:bounce::bouncep:

Lonnie, do you have any sort of list of people who are already registered?  Being able to enter some of the entry info beforehand would speed things up on Sunday.

There are timing cards in the one of the Registration Boxes.
They are our old ones (no space for labels, need to be filled out by participant) but are very usable for this event.
Look for a stack of yellow and a stack of white cards.  Take what you need.

I guess I must of glanced over them while sifting through the tons of crap spam I've been getting lately. I just now have seen them after reading your post here. Unfortunately it may be a little too late. But even more surprising (I guess it shouldn't be) is that I still have only recieved 1 more volunteer :ouch:angry:grr:

We sure do hang around with a great bunch of people.:ouch:

The entire event for this weekend has been postponed. Here is the info from the VMP website:

The Vettes @ The Park has been rescheduled for Saturday October 29th. This will be a one day show.
There will not be an Autocross. Events included will be Swap Meet, Midway, Car Corral, and Car Show. On Saturday both Car Shows will be held. (Peoples Choice and Judged show)

We have an autocross scheduled for 10/30. Could we build some goodwill with VMP by setting aside a heat for Corvettes and inviting them to run with us on Sunday?

First let me say thank you to all who responded with efforts of help.:bounce:Cheesy And to say sorry for the last minute cancelation. I was notified by VMP late friday morning. I was out of web contact so I made a few calls and asked someone to post a notice about the event cancelation on the forum. I hope everyone received the message in time.

VMP could have pulled our Oct. 30 date from us if they wanted to put on their event for that day. Thankfully they did not. So YES we will be very open to the corvette people towards our autocross.

I am planning to offer the corvette car people, who were planning to attend the autocross yesterday, the same entry fee as vmsc club members. As far as a specific heat goes, that sounds great too, but we will have to look at the numbers and see how everything fits in.

Suggestion: We limit VMSC pre-registration to 75 cars.  We then reserve the 4th heat for folks from the Corvette show.  Those drivers would either register as walk-ups or could just send their info to m-- err, the operator.  :evil:

Since we normally register up to 125 at VMP, I would not reserve 50 spots for them unless we have some indication that they will fill them. We don't want to turn away other paying customers and have these spots go unused. I would suggest we reserve 25 spots for them until we have some better idea of how many they will bring.

I wasn't really considering the "waiting list", but merely the 1-75 numbers in heats 1-3.  The 100+ numbers would still be open as well.
