If we have enough interest, we will have a VMSC Dyno Day at Performance Autosport in Manakin-Sabot on March 3 beginning at 10:00. Performance Autosport has a Dynojet that can handle any 2-wheel drive car. They are located at 12927 Plaza Dr., Suite B, Richmond, Va. The map is here - http://www.performanceautosport.com/contact.asp. They are just a couple of minutes west of the intersection of 288 and West Broad (Rt. 250).

Here are the details:

$65 for 3 pulls w/ air/fuel ratio monitoring plus printouts.
If we commit to at least 10 cars, then the price drops to $60/3 pulls w/ air/fuel ratio monitoring plus printouts.

I will need the commitments by 2-24 to make the reservation. Please post here if you can commit to being there.

If the Miata is running by then, I'll join.

Yeah, I know that's not quite a commitment, but I'm really eager to see the current output of the engine and how much the Mazda 47mm restrictor plate really hurts it.

I can show up if need be.   Question is should we go with as "race setups" or "ALL OUT DYNO set ups".  Yes there is a difference:D

Its up to you.  A vmsc dyno day is no about who makes how much power but allows you see what your car is doing for those that haven't done dyno pulls previously.

Now last time I checked you could get an hour of time with unlimited pulls with a guy out in Ashland for about $100.  We did that a couple of years ago with the celica and did about 15 pulls testing the variation in power based on the number of plates in the supertrapp we had on it.  He only charges for time doing the pulls so we were actually in the shop for 2 hours but only charged for 1 hour.  I don't know for certain if the guy still has the dyno but I think so.

We have Bill x 2 and Tony for 3 with one that wants to. That is a good start. I will be there, but my current car is all-wheel drive so I can't dyno it.

Who else is interested?

Right now we have 4 people and 5 cars with interest. I will go forward and make the reservation based on that unless I hear otherwise by noon on Saturday. Anyone who wants to watch, hang out, etc. is also welcome.

Start time is 10 on Saturday, March 3. Directions and other info are at the top of the thread.

Ok. 4 people, 4 cars is what I will reserve. Last minute additions should not be a problem. Just show up and get in line after the 4 who reserved spots.

See you at 10:00 on 3-3 at Performance Autosport.

Just to make it interesting, would there be any interest in a small "pool" prior to the pulls? I mean by guessing your, or the other entries, rwhp? I hoped to bring my '69 Chevy C-10, but don't think it'll make it. I wanted to bring the Vega out, but I KNOW it won't make it, so it looks like the Z-28 will be my choice.
