So says a report from Fox sports. Maybe she should win a race in IRL before exploring other options. My money(concerning women drivers), is still on Erin Crocker. And before I get attacked over this remember, Danica and I have the same number of victories in the IRL series. None. The difference is I don't race. :ouch:

There is a least one other difference. She is better looking.

I think it's a bad move.  She brings in a pile of fans to the race.  Winner or not.  She's the only driver with her own hauler of collectibles at the track.  I was at the last Richmond race and the collectible trailers were few and far between.  The race was great, but it's obvious the teams are cutting corners off the track.  Back to the subject, Danica was cheered louder than any other driver.  I'd like to see her stay where she is even if there is an open wheel merger.

I think they're allowing most anything to sell the sport to those 500 people that don't follow it.

With Toyota bringing in a Camry (wonder if they'll offer a V8 soon in the new sportier model?) and high profile drivers transitioning from open wheel to Nascar they're making a lot of changes all of a sudden. Wonder if the XASCAR will begin soon to follow up on the XFL's demise.

Two differences; I have a chest. Or is that three differences?

You know, you're right about her not winning in IRL, yet.  However, she has an Indy pole & a pile of top 10 finishes...  Danica is the real deal - a solid pro driver.  If someone were offering ME a NASCAR ride, I'd jump whether I thought I could cut it or not.  Money talks & Danica is pure money.  The REAL question is why the heck would Montoya leave F1 for NASCAR?  He can make more money in one year of F1 (even not making any points) than he can in 10 years of NASCAR racing.

That there is funny. NASCAR is the epitome of a sport that is all about the money. So far, Danica is also all about the money. They are a match made in heaven. I would still rather watch the Rolex Series.

Danica had a single pole in Formula Atlantic, and finished 3rd in points while driving for Letterman. A pole in IRL in '05, and rookie of the year. This year she has no poles, is tied for 12th in points and has 4 top ten finishes. Sarah Fischer, Janet Guthrie, Shawna Robinson, Erin Crocker, Kit Kizer, Lyn St. James, Bunny Burkett, and Shirley Muldowney all together haven't had the publicity Danica has. And they were, or are, the real deal.
