Great but tight little course today - liked the uphill sweepers especially

Shoulders and arms are sore from trying to get through the tight slalom and I think I killed more little orange people today than the rest of the year combined

Ditto.  Thanks to Chuck and everyone else who worked so hard to put on the event.

Thanks to the Shriners for being such great hosts and providing such excellent chow.

Frustration is knowing that your best competitive time just isn't good enough, and that you could have done better.  :ouch:

Frustration is also taking a fun run that breaks your best competitive time by a second and a half.  :wtf:

Winning is walking away from all the frustrations and feeling like you still had a heck of a lot of fun.

All the courses we've had at the ACCA Temple have been surprisingly fast, given the tight dimensions of the driving area.  With course designs like these, we should consider using the venue more often.  Also, more of our members should give it a chance.  :p

I hope to get results up tonight.

That was quite a run, Scott. I thought the uphill after the slalom would favor more horsepower, but you proved otherwise.

Thanks David. I thought that as well, but I think the tight slalom and the downhill left made for a good miata course. I was able to carry a lot of speed through rotation on that left and still get through the slalom with some speed. Most of the fwd cars pushed a great deal on that left and the large cars had to give it up entering the slalom.

An autocross is truly a large undertaking and my thanks go to all of the workers, competitors, the Acca Shriners, and all the hangers-on.  Special thanks go to David Ogburn, co-OD and Jeff Chenery, Course Consultant.  This geezer rallyist is beginning to see how autocrosses are done.

The next Acca event is March 19, 2006.  That'll give you the months of December, January, and February to make adjustments.

Don't forget that three rallies remain this year.  All can be found at http://www.usrally.com .
